This guide covers the process on how to use our postal service.
Go to www.hattongardenmetals.com
Click on the link on the left “Sell Scrap Gold”
Complete the form with your details:
- Your personal details
- The details of what you are sending
- Your chosen method of payment
- Choose whether you would like to have non gold items returned to you (at a charge of £6.50) and click ‘Submit Details’
At this point if you will be taken to a new page on the website that will shows you where to and how to send, You will also be given a 5 digit job reference number. You will be sent an email with details of your parcel (if you entered an e mail adress). This will include the unique reference number for your job. Please print this email and include it in your package. If you do not have a printer available, please clearly write down your reference number and include this with your package.
Securely package your gold ready to place in your special delivery envelope. Please ensure that your gold is separated into separate packets if you are sending separate carats. Ensure that the final package is secure before sending.
Take this package to your local post office and obtain your receipt for posting. Please make sure that you choose the correct method of insurance so that your goods are protected whilst in transit.
IMPORTANT: Do not post your package in a post box. If you do this package will not be treated as a ‘Special Delivery’ by the post office.
Your package will be received by us on the following working day and payment will be made to you by your preferred method on the same day by 3pm. All packages received will be processed on the morning gold fix on the day of receipt of the parcel.
IMPORTANT : We advise against Recorded Delivery as this method is not insured.
