Available payment methods and identification requirements

When purchasing from Hatton Garden Metals you will be able to choose from the following payment methods:

Debit Card or Credit Card


Pay online by Debit or Credit card. The maximum order value for card payments is £5,000. Please note that card payments are only available when choosing Delivery as a dispatch method. We do not accept American Express.

In store:

All Card payments in store are required to be Chip & Pin and are cupped at £1000. Please note, that you will be asked to provide one form of photographic I.D. (Passport, driving license or National Identity card) with every card transaction

Bank transfer:

Pay for your items by online or telephone bank transfer using your order number as the reference. Funds usually clear on the same day payment is made. We will allow 24 hours for bank transfer payments to clear, any payments not received within this timeframe will be cancelled. If we receive your funds by 1pm your order will be dispatched the same day by Royal Mail Special delivery.

Cash at our Hatton Garden Trade Counter:

Due to Money Laundering and HMRC regulations we require to see specific identification from our customers when paying cash at our counter.

Up to £5000:

One form of photographic I.D is necessary on orders up to the value of £5000. We will accept a Passport, driving license or National Identity card.

Between £5000 and £10000:

Customers need to provide two forms of I.D when collecting orders between £5000 and £10000 including photo ID (passport, driving license or national identity card) and a separate proof of address document (bank statement, utility bill etc) dated within the last 3 months.

Hatton Garden Metals Ltd can only accept £10,000 per household in a 12-month rolling period.
